That friend should have a bore scope as well.
I know a few people that have the tools to do it. For this particular rifle, it's a range toy so not concerned about it. I agree that is the best solution though.

Gun ran great today at Ft Meade, the Rocksett is on the way tho.What do you call Blue Loctite on something that gets hot?
