Success today
Well, I did not expect accuracy so I shot at 25 yards. Accuracy was better than I could aim cause with just a single front blade sight it was difficult to be consistent on the vertical. If I can figure out how to do that it will not be too bad.
I shot all at 25 yards with a front support and 70grains of 2F. First was some traditional paper cartridges with .648 balls. Then a patched .620 ball. Then finally wood rasp dimpled .675 balls.
There really was not much difference that was noticeable.
The flint lasted about 13 shots total including about 5 dry fires to test the spark and flash in the pan. Then a few misfires telling me it was time for knapping (and maybe an afternoon nap)
For cleaning it was not too bad to pull the 3 bands the. Tang screw and clean the barrel.
