MSP wait times for handgun approval

My papers were filed on the 21'st. I finally got the "not-dissaproved" on the 5th of Jan. They are extremely backed up.

My papers were filled out 12/22 and just got the call today to pick up.

Sounds about right, a week to week and a half behind. Seems like they are starting to catch up though.

I am new to the whole process. Does the paperwork all go to the same location, or does the MSP handle by county, region, etc.?

I filled out the paperwork 1/5 and my FFL said about two weeks. Sounds about right to me unless there was an initial rush to buy that died down after Christmas.

Just did paperwork yesterday and was told about 3 weeks, it is what it is i guess...

WOOHOO! Bob at Gunrunners says my paper came over the fax (must be the modern steam-powered fax machine) so that means 12/27/2013 has begun to receive "Not Disapproved".

I will pick up my Shield tomorrow!
