The Judge is slowly growing on me.....would not want to be on the wrong end of that nasty little bastard.

We'll see what it does tomorrow. Don't have a whole lot of faith in .410 00buck, but it'll get a bad guy's attention and slow 'em down enough for the follow up .45LC. Not to mention to SOB's heavy enough to pistol whip someone to death with it.

I've only fired 00 buck in a .410 once, in a long gun. I would think, though, a shot to the face, even with birdshot will slow 'em down enough for you to put a .45LC in 'em.

Maybe. But ammo's expensive and I'm a cheap SOB. Which is why the Judge is there to get me across the room to the shotgun.

Welcome to the cheap SOB club. There's a reason why I continually tested that SCCY 9mm I have. I am confident it will hold it's own in a home defense capacity. And, 9mm is still relatively cheap to shoot.

My shotguns are vintage, but not especially valuable. I get more use out of them than anything. They get babied.

Yep, it was my uncles. I grew up shooting that and his Stevens 410 with him I got them both when he passed.

Those are neat little guns....there's a lot of 'em out there and I don't think I have ever seen one that didn't shoot straight. Wouldn't mind having one of my own. Solid little plinkers.

Nice Mountain Gun, case! Been looking at buying one from a buddy.

Thanks, I bought it years ago when they did the second run of them if I recall correctly. Had wanted one for a while and when I started checking for a used one the guy I bought from most frequently said we just got a new one in, I ran right down and bought it. Don't shoot it much, actually that is an understatement, but I'm glad I bought it.

Yeah it's a pretty solid little gun you just have to watch the main spring guide rods. A lot of them including this one came with plastic heads and they break. I have one of the metal ones in it now.

    Goodies not mentioned before

    1. Revolver line-up in my gunroom, including the guns posted above (DWs, Ruger Redhawk .45)

    IMG_0985.JPG

    2. Dan Wesson .44 mag, beautiful gun with two exceptions some idiot let the inner trigger guard rust so while most of its bluing is pristine I had to cold blue the inner trigger guard. Also didnt notice it had an aftermarket rear sight when I bought it, probably replace with a better millet sight. Good shooter though, included case 2 6" and 2 8" barrels (ported and not ported) and all tools, manuals and warranty cards.

    3. Taurus 17HMR sort of my play gun purchase of the year. I love 17 HMR and cant wait to see how this little bugger shoots

    4. First revolver purchase, Ruger Bisley .45LC/.45ACP still a huge favorite.

That is a beautiful collection Jimbob. Didn't realize the convertable Rugers came with an unfluted cylander.

only the .45LC is unfluted, that as an Accusport dealer exclusive. In my dreams I had hoped they would make a .357/9mm convertible to match but they never did. I almost hate to shoot it.
