I posted this today on http://www.deshooters.com/forum/index.php and thought I should post it here also.

I recently bought a 45 cal. rifle barrel from Natchez, had a gunsmith in Pa. cut and crown it and bought 2 encore camo laminated forends from ea brown. A little Dremel work and now I have 2 muzzleloader handguns.
The top one is the 45 cal. and the bottom one is 50 Cal. I plan to use them in Maryland this year during ML and gun season.
I use 80 gr. of Blackhorn 209 http://www.blackhorn209.com/ in both with 260 gr. Scorpion PT gold from Harvester in the 50 cal. I presently shoot 200 gr. Hornady SST with Harvester Sabot in 45 cal.
I'm expecting a shipment of Dead center bullets from Precision Rifle bullets in 240 gr. and 260 gr. for the 45 cal. I will experiment with those and if good I'll use them. I had a 45 cal. rifle at one time and they shot good.

Besides being fun to shoot they both are pretty accurate out to 100 yards(longest distance to date)

FYI-on another site I was asked how do you legally convert a center-fire rifle to a handgun--
Both frames were purchased as handguns. I have added 5 or 6 different barrels since buying them. I have 2-44mags, a 223, 2-357 maximums and the muzzleloader barrels. I was very careful not to get a rifle frame and I have never put a rifle barrel on my frames. Never bought a rifle barrel and don't intend to.

I have seen on other sites that they (ATF)have already clarified that it is a no no. I have been told in Pa. they can do the paperwork to register a frame as both, making it legal. Here in Delaware dealers say there is no law requiring anyone to prove what a frame is after it's bought, however I will not cross that line.
