This is probably the best bargain in ammo that you're going to find right now ... of any caliber.

The only thing that I would change about this is to note that it is a constitutional right, and not a privilege.

Just got my 440 round spam can. They even threw in an opener. AIM is always on point. Pun intended.

Not bad, but AIM shipping costs $31 to my zip.

Copes Distributing has Russian Silvertip for $89 and $9.95 flat rate FedEx shipping. I found it on gun-deals.com:

I just ordered a pallet from them.

DAY-yum, son! You got my attention there for a minute! I didn't know that they were calling a two-spam-can crate a "pallet". I had visions of you unloading a shipping pallet with a fork lift onto your back porch, and was thinking, "Now that guy is HARD CORE!"

Having trouble understanding the AIMsurplus description. Is this ammo corrosive? Steel cased, jacketed, or both?

Unless it says "boxer primed" you are safe to assume that all 7.62x54R is corrosive. There is a little bit of ammo in this caliber on the market from commercial manufacturers (S&B and PPU, primarily), but you'll spot that easily because it's expensive and comes in boxes of 20 rounds. If you can afford it, and can find it, it's worth the investment to have brass that you will be able to reload in the future, or sell to someone who wants to reload it.

I found 500 round bulk packs of Russian made, steel cased, berdan primed, non corrosive on sportsmansguide for about 34 cents a shot. Not the 19 cents/shot that surplus gets you but a hell of alot cheaper then .223 or .308.
