    Hey all,

I'm going to WV this weekend and want to go shooting while I'm there. Needed to double check the laws. Is it illegal if I take an AR over state lines then bring it back? My brother has plenty of ARs in WV so it's not the end of the world if i cant take mine, I just have a new scope i need to sight in. Second question: what about a smith & wesson m&p 15-22? Pretty sure those are still legal here.

    You are fine.

The original wording of SB281 had something like that in it, but the final bill did not.

If it legal here, it can be brought into the state.

If you "legally own it in Maryland"... you may take it out AND BRING IT BACK into the state.

They would like it to be illegal to bring it back into Maryland, but you are perfectly within your rights to travel and return into the state of Maryland with your AR15 rifle.

My question would be, once you've escaped, why would you want to return? ;)
