The only trick which appears to make the wait seem shorter is to buy another NFA item about two month into your initial wait. Two months after that, buy a third one. Lather, rinse, repeat until your first stamp comes in. Then you have items in the pipeline and hopefully a new stamp every few months. While it doesn't make any individual wait any shorter, the wait for the next stamp is less painful.
The system worked for me until my wallet's "Low Cash" light came on.
I just hope you cool off ...

Typically I buy a handgun and then buy an upgrade to an existing firearm.
Usually I get the kit the next day or possibly 2nd day. I then spend one day launching springs around the basement before ordering another kit. 1-2 more days getting it and installing and MAGIC, it is time for me to pick up my original purchased gun. It makes the time go by much faster.
I got my 6 AM Congratulations your application to purchase...has not been disapproved email this morning. Thank goodness I was made to wait, I'm sure otherwise I would have been out shooting up the streets of Baltimore. Now to get my hands on my first non-Glock shooter (well, I have a 1911 but that's a show piece).

Be happy its only 7 days, in California it's 10 days. Maryland gun laws will likely get worse with a gun and ammo tax, RQL, and possibly a 10 day waiting period.

I'm glad I live in real America (Virginia) less than ten minutes on a sidearm,in and out like sex..and you wear yours out the front door openly.Not trying to make you guys in the Socialist State of Maryland all feel bad..why I left and not moving back.
