FYI Palmetto is starting to put out A2 Carry Handle upper ARs. Still a little pricey but keep your eyes open for upper specials.

I have a stag model 4 that I like. Was thinking about building one with a del-ton upper.

The Deltons are solid (at least from the ones I have done). I would rather have a Delton than Palmetto given the choice and availability.

Just something to watch.

Del ton has the a2 upper with the integral carry handle and front sight but I haven't seen it in stock

I don't think they have been for a while. I was waiting to get a HBAR carbine (though I have an extra pre FSA lower or two if I get super motivated).

Thought about just trying to find a a2 upper reciever and hoping brownells would get some more of those colt a2 heavy barrels that I missed out on a couple of months ago.

They haven't been in stock for well over a year. When I asked, they said they had "no status". To me that means either their supplier quit, or they quit.

I wanted to get a complete A2 Upper with a 10.5 barrel and a 5.5 flash hider pinned / welded.

No such luck. So I bought the barrel only, and found an A2 upper at a gun show.

Now I just need to mate them.
