He was a Bernie fan and endorsed him over Clinton. Clintonistas might not be too jazzed up about that.

WIKILEAKS: ‘NAACP PRESIDENT BEN JEALOUS ‘REALLY HUNG UP ON OBAMA NOT CARING ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE’

    Thursday, October 20, 2016

    John Podesta Ben Jealous Obama

The latest batch of Podesta emails dropped this morning. In one email, Hillary Clinton’s campaign Chairman John Podesta expresses his concerns about NAACP President Ben Jealous with Neera Tanden, an Indian political activist with deep connections in Washington, D.C.

Podesta begs Tanden to “do an intervention” because he was worried about rumors that Jealous was planning to endorse Bernie Sanders over Clinton (Jealous eventually did endorse Bernie)...."

Let's face it, MOCo, PGCo and Baltimore City will trip all over themselves voting for this guy. HoCo and Baltimore County will be schizophrenic. The rest of the state will be fighting an uphill battle.

Expect Hogan to take as much action on this as he has anything firearms related in MD.

As offed up as Marylandistan is, I still can't imagine that enough people will drink that man's kool aide to get him elected. :sad20:

I'd be willing to wager there's quite a few thirsty lemmings just chomping at the bit to get at that Kool-Aid.

I truly loved and appreciated Obama as President, not because he is black, or because I agreed with him on most issues, but simply because I feel as though he truly cares about this country and he did a great job getting us out one of the greatest recessions of all time.

But guess what, I voted for Hogan. Hogan, also like Obama, strikes me as a man who truly cares for Maryland and Marylanders. When all the ridiculous and unnecessary unrest started in Baltimore -- Hogan was here, in Baltimore City! And do you wanna know what he was doing?? How about on the front f-ing line talking to the impoverished blacks of Baltimore City asking them how can we come together to provide opportunities to make things better here in Baltimore. By time our great (he's no lesser) governor was rapping up, the impoverished blacks of the city were calling him, "Gov."

I was freaking touched by this in a tremendous way. It bought tears to my eyes. Growing up in DC, all I know is diversity. Baltimore is a different world in that aspect. The race and socioeconomic divide here is #REAL. I have great respect for Governor Hogan and as long as I can vote for him -- I WILL. I don't care who decides to run against him. That man has Maryland's best interest at heart.

On another note, I believe Gov. Hogan will try to go up against Maryland's nonsense gun laws during his next term. Also, I am NOT a black lives matter supporter. It's a inconsistent notion and ridiculous sentiment that removes responsibility, consequences, and accountability from MOSTLY criminals. Sure there are some instances of racial profiling and policing of the innocent that perpetuates bigger problems, and this should never be tolerated. But I am an armed forces and Law enforcement supporter.

...[Obama] did a great job getting us out one of the greatest recessions of all time.

Obama did no such thing and his actions only delayed a full recovery.

The true beauty of capitalism, is - first - that inefficiency is as it was routed out by the collapse of the market thus proving that the 'free market' is self-correcting; second that the market will always rebound in despite of the benevolent social planner's interference.

Obama cares about nothing except Obama. Any positive actions were unintended consequences.

I don't feel we will ever have politicians that will share all our view points and ideas on certain matters, but I believe, first and foremost, there should be a true love for your state and country. That is what I admired. I don't believe Obama had a hidden monetary agenda. Just a true love and vision for the country (maybe we don't agree with most in that vision). That's why I support Gov. Hogan 1000%!

You can feel however you like. That's just my take on the issue. I think we all want the same thing here.

Not going to be a lot of love for Obama here on MDS. He is an Anti gun, wealth redistributor, racist shit stirrer, socialist, anti American, anti freedom, dictator with a phone and a pen, I could go on and on. Nothing to do with his race.

While I disagree with your assessment of Obama, I really doubt Hogan will tackle any gun laws nor will he be re-elected.

Don't underestimate that Marylander's do NOT have Maryland's best interest at heart. Hence, they will elect which ever Dem makes it out of the primary, regardless of platform. Such a Dem could say he's raising income tax 30% and real-estate tax 10% while cutting education funding 25% - and he'd still be elected. After which, all those Marylander's would uproot and haul ass to Virginia where they'd vote the same way again.

Maryland is about social justice, at whatever cost to the other guy.

Man I see I hit the wrong button. Trust me -- I was sooo happy that congress never hit at gun reform. I do believe Obama jumped on certain issues, such as gun reform, because it was a hot button topic and would glorify him amongst democrats. But what democratic politician doesn't when it comes to guns. I wholeheartedly agree, taking guns away from law abiding citizens does not work! States with less restrictions boast less crime.

That's a hot button I will never touch again, lol.

You seem to have hit much of what Obama stood for with this line referencing black lives matter but failed to apply it to him.

"It's a inconsistent notion and ridiculous sentiment that removes responsibility, consequences, and accountability from MOSTLY criminals."

By the way: In case you weren't aware, Obama started his presidency off with a worldwide apology tour and his wife (maybe husband) famously said "for the first time in my adult life I am proud to be an American". These folks didn't and don't love America. Don't be naive.
