Glad it worked, and that looks like a large pile of crud. Good Lord, makes me wonder if using a suppressor is better than using hearing protection. Leaning toward the latter after seeing that pile.

Seems like the dot5 would be messy. I'd think a spray on silicone from any auto parts store would be easier. Most brake fluid takes paint off.

Most brake fluid is not silicone based.

TOTALLY different chemical basis.

I didnít realize he was referring to actual Dot 5 brake fluid. I could try silicone spray. I use it all the time on doors and windows around the house.
