    Saw this in "Maryland Gun Owners", on Facebook for sale in Frederick. $1.50 pound. No idea if that is good price. He has it available in one pound ingots.

    Good price. $3.08 on Midway USA for 99.9% pure.

    Not knowing what's in the lead is the problem.

    Pure? Wheel Weights? Impurities (Zinc)?

    From Facebook;

    $1.50 a pound. Pure lead for sale. It’s been cleaned and fluxed in 1 lb+- ingots. Perfect for muzzleloader bullets/ fishing weights as is or for making your own alloys. Have over 500lbs like this. No shipping, pick up in Frederick area. 100 lbs in pictures

    It might be one of our members. I recall an ad in the classifieds from one of our members in Frederick and the price was about $1 a pound for pure lead.

    I just checked and Brickman301 is the member selling in the classifieds. Evidently he had it assayed and it is 98% lead.

    I thought it may be him. He still has sheet lead for sale in the reloading classifieds.

    Yes, that’s my lead. My brother post it on Facebook, for me. I don’t have a Facebook account. The lead the ingots are made from has been analyzed at 99.99 percent lead. I willing to lower my price some, just PM me.
    I also have sheet lead available.

    For everyone wanting to know here is a picture of the reading from the analyzer. This lead all comes from the same source and is very consistent. This is the lead, my ingots are made from. I couldn’t attach pictures when I post the for sale add. If anyone has questions PM me.
    Thanks.

    Here are pictures of the analyzer readings from the sheet lead I had posted for sale. It’s also from a single source and is consistent. It’s 98.45 percent lead, and 1.54 percent tin. I have over 1,000 pounds of this stuff still for sale. That small amount of tin does help fill out the molds. I have also used this lead for muzzleloaders, just the way it is.

    Just wanted to bump this to the top. I wanted to post I’ve put over 1,000 pounds of lead into ingots. And have over 1,000 pounds of sheet lead.
    I’m trying to sell. My prices are not firm, the more you buy the cheaper it gets. I just wanted to post here, before I put it in the classifieds section. If anyone is interested PM me.

    Hey Brickman, are you available during the day? I shoot a lot of cap and ball and the last batch of "soft lead" wasn't so soft so I need to alloy it. Yours is like 98% pure as I recall. Anyway, I won't be doing anything until it warms up a might. Let me know how to get hold of you in case we get a warm day.

    I’ve sent a PM to John from MD, right after he posted. I just came back to this post and reread it. I wanted to state that the last batch of “soft lead” John was referring too, he didn’t purchase from me. I just wanted to clarify that. Anyways, I still have lead available.
    Thanks.

    Sorry I wasn't more clear in my post. I actually bought my last batch from a scrap metal place in Waldorf. I'm not complaining about the company, when you buy sheet lead, you take your chances. The only difference between it and pure lead is that it takes more energy to start the ball. I see no difference in accuracy between pure soft and the sheet lead I bought.
