The Oakland Winterfest has been pushed forward a week because it's too warm this weekend. :wtf:

It Ain't Nowhere Near Spring Yet!

According to the calendar, the 2017 Vernal Equinox occurs Mar 20. Officially that's the first day of spring! Yay! :party29:

On some other threads today I read the glee for the snow in the flatlands. But, we know winter is different in the mountains. Weather can change hourly. Spring will arrive about Memorial Day as it usually does.

Today we received about 7" of heavy wet white stuff to deal with. On the backside of the snow? -> COLD!

Below is a snip of the NWS forecast for the next few days. Notice these points:
    • We'll have sub-zero wind chills tomorrow and Sunday.
    • More snow is in the forecast early next week.

What does all this mean in Hooliganville? Hooligans have been known to shoot early Sunday mornings in colder temps and worse weather. My bet is there will be at least a few Hooligans that will muster for a "We Froze Our A$$ES OFF" shoot... ;)

    We'll see...

In the meantime, stay warm boys and girls. Winter ain't close to being over!

    :)

    Winter Weather Advisory

Blame it on me if you like. I picked up a load of mulch on sale at Lowe's yesterday. It's still in the truck. :banghead:

S'posed to be more than a dusting. It'll be heavy slushy wet shnit. Still calling for 4" to 6", but we'll see. The good news is we have all the milk and TP we can use and it'll be sunny for a Hooligan shoot on Sunday!

Hopefully this is winter's last gasp.

    Goodbye Winter!

When two seasons collide in Garrett County ya never know what to expect. This must be Old Man Winter's last gasp this year. :fingerscrossed:

Heck. with all the robins I saw chasing each other today, if they can deal with a few inches of April snow, we can too.

Gonna be 62 and sunny on Sunday. That's Hooligan Shootin' Heaven. With 72 and sun coming Monday?

    Springtime is here!
