    No, but as of right now it is a legaly owned unregerstered handgun in this state. Just like handguns brought from a private seller before Oct. 1, 1996, or the handguns that you legaly owned if you moved into Maryland before Oct. 1, 2013.

    That was my thought when I got my hql a couple years ago. A friend has an old pistol acquired before all the bs but is interested in a new one.

    I was going to say it was for a friend, but who'd believe that!!!
