From our local online news (Bay Net)
Handgun Arrest- On December 14, 2021, Dep. Lawrence responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle in the 30000 block of Triangle Drive in Charlotte Hall. Contact was made with the occupant of the vehicle and was identified as Christopher Daniel Wolford, age 44 of Mechanicsville. Wolford possesses a valid Maryland concealed carry permit, however the permit prohibits Wolford from wearing, carrying, or transporting the handgun while under the influence of alcohol. It was determined Wolford had been consuming alcohol in the vehicle. Wolford was arrested and charged with Handgun-Wear/Carry Under the Influence and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving While Intoxicated.

"There but for the grace of God..." Wish Paul Harvey were alive to give us "...the rest of the story." Was this guy contemplating suicide by cop? Was he a thwarted mass shooter? Did he lie on his 77R?

Was he even drunk? All we know is what he was charged with. The lack of a per se charge tells me either he didn’t blow or did and was under the limit.

Maybe he was drunk. Maybe he was following the “never talk to the police” crap and turned a have a nice day into a put your hands behind your back. Both happen.

knowing how hard it is to get a permit why do something so stupid.

I think the permit is irrelevant. He's under the influence, that sh*thead shouldn't be driving anyway.
Anyone know what the penalty is for doing that with the permit? I wonder if it's high enough to be prohibited from owning a firearm from now on.
