Hey guys, I've got a Winchester 1400 mk2 with an ejector that won't stay in place. When I do get it to stay in place and assemble the shotgun, I can't get the action to open. What kinda fix do I need for this thing?

Howdy. Sounds like the ejector is improperly installed. The rear tang of the ejector has a little hole that fits over a small pin that protrudes from the left rear side of the receiver. If the ejector is not on the pin, it jams the action.

Look here at 10:30 in the vid and you'll see it.

That's the problem, the ejector won't stay on the pin. It just pops off once the shot gun is reassembled.

Ah. Okay, at exactly 10:43 in the linked vid above, you can see how the ejector is bowed a bit inside the receiver. The ends are in contact with the side of the receiver and the center bulges out a little.

Without this slight bend, the ejector won't stay on the pin because there's no lateral pressure from the bolt carrier holding the ends of the ejector in place.

Sounds like perhaps your ejector is either bent flat, or maybe it's in backwards. The middle of the ejector should stick out a little bit when installed, with the shiny side facing the bolt carrier.

    Also, looky here:
