    I do not have the P500, but from the picture/description it looks that it should perfectly do the job. Why P500 can not move the rear sight?


    The unit is not robust enough to move those sights. it is a good unit but the way it holds the slide is not sturdy enough for the amount of torque required to move the XD sights.

    I re-adjusted my rear sight on my XD-45. I used a big c-clamp, a block of wood on each side of the slide, drilled a hole in 1 of the wood blocks so I could put a brass punch through it, and have the punch line up with the sight. Then it was just a matter of tightening the c-clamp to push the sight. Not the prettiest of tools, but it worked.
