    Was tinkering with different scopes on a new upper and decided to use some old P-series Nikon mounts that I had acquired years ago. Well, somewhere in moving and shuffling boxes around, I had lost the base mount screws. So I sent this in to Nikon via their support webpage: Where can I purchase 2 base screws for a set of P-series scope mounts? I have lost them somewhere in moves and can not locate them.

    They responded with a canned info request and I replied not expecting much.

    Today, 4 of the base mount screws showed up in the mail! It's not much in the way of cost, but they covered my "screw-up" and didn't ask for any compensation. It's nice to see that kind of customer support.

    Generally speaking, the firearms industry has some of the best customer service. Personally, I think it is because they know their customers are heavily armed. Reality is that they know their future and reputation is on the line with every single customer, so they do their best to make it right, even if they don't have to make it right.
