    Behind enemy lines
    I had some business to take care of before going to Annapolis yesterday and ended up with the last Maverick 88 from the LaPlata Wal-Mart for $211 (tax included)! :bannana: Commece Operation "Clay Buster". I haven't owned a shotty since 2005. Looking forward to taking her out for a whirl.

    First gun I ever bought, the finish on the barrel has gotten a little worn over the years. I have a knoxx stock, i'd like to get a short barrel too and set it up as a second HD option. Great choice!

    There's a million Mav 88's in this world. It's a Mossberg 500 clone. I don't care for the slop in the forends and that's what drives me to buy the Remington 870 versions. Bird hunting and such is fine, but, I would not own a Mossberg 500 or Mav 88 for Deer hunting. Too dang noisy. CLICKITY-CLACK.
