I’ve never loaded close to max. I consulted a few books and 39 is lowest max, some go up to 40.

OCW shows same poi at 38.7 - 39.3 gr so I selected 39 gr.

They started to look flat, so I checked against s box of factory ammo. They look same same.

Am I seeing flat primers because I’m looking for them...?

Only one close to looking bad it top pic, second row from the top, middle.

Max for YOUR rifle is not the same as max for MY rifle, or anyone else's.

That is why the OCW method actually has you go above the published max. Because the small (if done right) charge weight increases will not go from OK to dangerous in one increment. So you can look for pressure signs and not go higher.
