    I hope this is OK here since it’s Canada. Close enough to home. I tried searching a few different ways and didn’t see a topic.

    IBM won a contract to study and develop plans for compensation and procedures for confiscation. Just a study and ideas they say. Right. How easy that would be for IBM to share with other countries.

    There is no country that has enacted a national registration which has not used it to confiscate previously legal firearms.

    The US and Canadian gun control lobbies have said Canada would not, and that anyone saying they would was paranoid. There is no point to the Canadian government funded study other than to mass confiscate from legal owners.

    Canada already tried voluntarily turn in and it failed outside of Quebec and was repealed. I have serious doubts about successful confiscation
