Tubbs springs.
Usual advice re high end springs . best buffer is the one that gives proper function in YOUR gun, using your prefered ammo.
It varies depending on bbl length , muzzle devices, gas port (& erosion the4eof), and particularly ammo.
With my two relevant lowers used interchangably with a new 10,5 and a vetan 11.5, I started out with what came with complete lower\ parts kit respectively - standard carbine carbine buffers, knowing I likely would need to further experement. But surprise, they work fine !
,
And further reality check, short bbl ARs are inherently ammo sensitive , for pressure & pressure curve . ie perfectly tuned for max end of NATO 5.56 spec probably won't cycle soft.223 loads. Conversly tuned for soft .223 will be waay overgassed for hot 5.56 .
Running a Shorty AR requires you to be mindful of what you feed it, not like an 20in rifle or 16in midlength that can be expected to be reliable with virtualy any vaguely suitable ammo.
Well yeah, but that wasn't what the OP inquired.
As a thread drift, is there a decent adjustable GI style front sight assy ?

Tubbs springs.
+1 on Tubbs
I have them in all my ARs from my 9mm to .300blk in 5", 8.5" & 12.2". My uncle runs one in his .458 socom and it solved a large number of issues include FTF & Slam fires.
