Someone just announced in the overflow room that the committee is running out of people to testify in support of the bill. Unsurprisingly we still have plenty of people willing to testify against it!!!

Basically, I had to give my knife to another member while I signed up this morning. We ended up not finding each other, so he gave my knife up to a trooper at the senate building security point. I can't reach h and would really love my knife back.

Sadly there was no feasable way for me to attend, being so far away, and having to work out of state today, and play catch up.

You look good on Channel 2 News at 6. They just ran your blurb on, "I learned of the news at Sandy Hook and realized I had no way to protect my students"...(or something very close to that). I'm guessing you said more.

Every local station, (2, 11 & 13) had a little on the event and none I think did a bad job. Probably 2 showed a guy with an image of an AR on his sign. None of them showed camo coats or the Gadsden flag guy I saw. All in all, I think we got pretty decent representation of how things went today.

Estimates on all 3 stations said one of the following: "over a thousand", around a thousand", or nearly a thousand".

If the guy with the AR sign is the same person that was in the news reels, he is National Guard. He knows the active duty friend that came with me. He had a few other National Guardsmen with him.

I saw tons of people out there I had not in a long time. I have never seen this many people at a rally! Way to go.

I dropped off my written testimony, signed up for orals, and went to the rally and had luch....I could not get into the building after lunch..... :mad54:

Spent some time in the house building talking to reps and went home.

Great times I'm sitting outside of the overflow rooms. Every few minutes applause comes from the rooms. Sounds kinda like tennis match. I was in the line - already outside - at 11 signed the book at 3. Mood is good. Even the many guys with wires coming out of their ears are still doing well their chat is only about the size of the group and overtime. A few leaving - long drives and the good people that laugh at the kids ( kids are under 60 in this case ). All is good.

local news here in dc was saying "hundreds" turned out. i was hoping there were way more than that and is sounds like there were. count on the lib news to downplay it.

I like it. If its only a draft you should put something in it regarding the building being closed down to due to the overwelming crowd
