    I just got the email that I have been approved for my MD Wear and Carry permit. It stated that I would get in mail in 5-7 days but I could print the application out that states it’s approved. My question is am I safe to start carrying with this application that states I’m approved or should I suck it up and wait the next week until the actual permit comes In the mail? Whatcha think?

    I'm pretty sure it says you have to wait for the actual permit.

    Edit: The letter that comes with your LTC states you must have it on you when carrying.

    From the front of your new permit:


    "MUST BE CARRIED BY THE PERMIT HOLDER EACH TIME A HANDGUN IS CARRIED, WORN OR TRANSPORTED..."

    IANAL - I would hold off till you have your permit card in hand.

    Mine took a week to be mailed, according to the postmark, but once it was mailed, it arrived 48 hours later. :rolleyes:

    IIRC carrying without the card on your person is the same as carrying without a permit.
