..or maybe simply the beauty of .22 Long Rifle.... Look at the number of rounds you need to shoot vs other calibers to afford a nice new toy or two....:D

I've got well over 6000 rounds thru my GSG 1911 without a hitch, which means-- I'M DUE!!!!! I can't afford to feed the SA 1911 (.45) I have.....

After doing the spreadsheet, 9mm isn't too far behind.....

And you are even way over pricing the .22lr I refuse to spend more that .03/round that's why i stock up on it whenever i can get it at that price or cheaper.

But it's so soft and makes such a little hole. And it doesn't go very far.
    Such an unsatisfying little round.

Real men shoot 7.62mm and .45ACP:lol2:

I guess if you don't think over a mile is very far. Does your .45 go that far? Mine don't.

Have you seen what CCI Velocitor does out of a 16"-20" rifle barrel? From relatively long distance?

My wife would agree. She won't shoot 22's. She thinks 9mm is wimpy, her fav is 44 mag. And she was the first to shoot our 50.

I think 22's are fun. any trigger time is a good time.

Damn, I wish .22 WMR was that cheap.

You and me both! I have a .22WMR rifle that is about 17 years old and has less than 250 rounds through it. It is a nice little groundhog gun but too expensive for plinking.

I gained a new respect for .22 after looking at my recent credit card statements in shock of how much I actually spent on cases of .40 and .223. Needless to say I'm falling in love again with the Beretta Neos and S&W 15-22 I picked up for my boys!

I was at a homicide scene for alot of last night where a small caliber (either .22lr, .25acp not sure yet) killed a grown man with one shot yet didn't even penetrate a glass window with a stray round. .22's are just as deadly and capable as any other round, to think that they are wimpy is just a sign of inexperience.
