    Aw , that's not a 'wierd" green, I kinda like, if I was in a green mood.
    I could channel some late '70s nostolgia for having frame and slide that color, and controls and snall parts black.

    But I get ya , some time you feel like solid color, sometimes two tone ( and I'm usually a solid color guy). It is a non origional shooter, that already has non-origional finish, so feel free to go with whatever new finish that strikes your tastes and budget, either DIY or send it out.

    Since you mentioned plating, I'll point out Mahovsky's Electroless Nickel is very reasonable.
