There may be an explanation.
I hate people like this guy , but him losing his job is of no real value . I realize he deserves the hand he is dealt , now i hope he will look at his life and see where he needs to focus .
I'll bet you're right:There may be an explanation.

I'll bet you're right:
Needed a table, didn't want to exceed his budget, didn't care about consideration, property rights or law.
Re: "I hope he will look at his life...". Once a guy has become a thieving POS, well, I don't expect them to change much.
I agree that he shouldn't lose his job. That's why we have a justice system. I'm a little tired of seeing every so-called infraction turned into a lynching by an outraged mob. Since he brought the table and benches back, I assume there would be no arrest.
The problem is that he returned the table because he was caught, not because he had a change of heart.

Why would you say that?
Maybe the thief doesn't work for the company whose shirt he was wearing. But if he does (did) it's up to them to decide whether his actions warrant dismissal. If the company has high moral and service standards, the outcome might be different than if they were shady (for lack of a better term).
Actions have consequences, and whatever the outcome, the thief has earned them.
I emailed Cove Electric, asking if this was one of their employees.
I included pics of the perp, and the Facebook post.
Got a fairly quick reply that it is not one of their employees.
I won't lose no sleep over that guy , he brought everything down on him . Not none of us , but i ask what punishment would be good enough to satisfy the masses .
I am okay with the public square , and tomato throwing . Are others good with a hanging , or burn him out of his house , maybe he could build picnic tables for the homeless or prison systems . Let's get real .
