    Greetings,

I know ranges like On-Target only allow handgun calibers. I am checking to see if anyone can give me a couple of ranges in the area that allow .223/556 and other non-pistol calibers that would be in the Annapolis, Pasadena, Glen Burnie Area? I am hoping to find a range that is open during the week and /or on the weekends where you can show up with out a reservation that doesn't require you to be a member? I don't mind traveling just over the bridge but don't really want to travel all the way to Mardella Springs. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I am also open to joining a private range as long as they are too expensive if anyone has any good recommendations? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

The closest non member ranges would be Myrtle Grove or Hap Baker. Both are still a pretty good hike from A A County. Check their days and hours for times that they are open.

The old "Select Fire" indoor range in Glen Burnie has a new owner. It's now called "Cindy's Hotshots" and is very nice. I inquired last weekend if they were going to have a rifle lane and they said yes and specifically, I asked about my AR/5.56 and they said absolutely. Not sure exactly when it will be opened, but it will be nice to have a place close by to shoot our ARs.

Just to clarify: I think that they allow rifle calibers now (but there is not a dedicated rifle lane). They rent long guns. Pretty sure in another thread about them, 223 long gun would be fine.

    But OP could call

Thank you for the replies! I contacted Cindy's Hot Shots and they will not be open for rifle calibers until April 1st!

Delmarva Sporting Clays is outdoors in Cambridge MD. It is open 7 days and only cost $20 to shoot all day. I believe they have 2 25 yard pistol ranges and rifle ranges from 50 to 300 yards. Yes, it is a little drive but, if you don't do it often, it is not a big deal.

Delmarva Sporting Clays is in Vienna, about 15 miles east of Cambridge. Gunsmoke is near Willards Md about 15 miles west of Ocean Ciey. both allow that caliber.

Arundel Fish and Game is worth considering. There's a 100 yard range for centerfire rifle. Steel ammo is ok. Not by choice, the shooting hours are restricted during weekdays to 10 to 4. Sat 10 to 1, no centerfire on Sunday. The membership process seems a bit daunting, but it's really pretty straightforward. It's not the wild west like Delmarva, but it's also 5 minutes from Annapolis.

It's actually just passed Vienna MD on the other side of the Nanticoke River bridge. Cambridge is about 20 miles away in the wrong directions.

Did they say frangible ammo or not?

Why do you have to "Pressure" me with a question like that? :-)

nice. That is absolutely the best response to that trick question through to newbs (<50 posts) I have ever seen. It was very punny!
