    Hi everyone,
I'm going back to the US in late December until early January for Christmas and plan to build a fence in our back yard. However, I'm not sure if I will have enough time to get it all done, especially if it snows. So, I would like to know if anyone here can recommend a contractor who can build the fence after I leave, if I can't do it when I'm home. The fence will have 4x4 pressure treated posts sunk 24" into concrete base in the ground, with pressure treated 2x4 stringers and covered with 1" boards. It's a pretty simple and straight forward board fence, but it'll be around 5' high.

Our house is a townhouse located in Manassas near I-66.
    thanks.

There is a difference in the older quality wood vs the new wood at the big box stores. The stuff I built my fence curved and bowed over the years. Keep that in mind when you get a contractor on the job.

    Thanks for the info.

I built a fence at our old house 20 years ago and noticed the wood available today isn't as high quality as what I used back then.

If anyone wants to build a board fence in Manassas, let me know since my wife doesn't want to wait until December for me to return.

Im not a contractor. I was so pissed at Long Fence I did my own...
Make depth difference is corner posts, and gate posts are 36" inches.

Long Fence did one for a neighbor. I checked they were only digging 16":sad20:

I had Lowe's do my board fence and the contractor they used did a great job. Got a 10% discount on the materials with my veteran discount.
