This is a question for RD. Has there been an example where an LEO has refused to act or failed to act contrary to a current law that was fired? Then that law was adjudicated in a higher court and found to be in violation to the Constitution. Did the LEO get his job back and damages?

I imagine this went one a bunch on the civil rights activities in the 60s, but is there a current example?

Problem is that LEO's are not the messengers, they are the enforcers. Big difference.

In this case they are BOTH. And are forced by their duty to act on orders from the Courts.

But... any excuse to be hatin on the PoPo...

That doesn't negate the fact that even trained LEO's under pressure in a confrontation hit their intended target only 2 out of every 10 rounds.

Are citizens in the heat of trying to defend themselves and their families supposed to be better shots than LEOs are, supposed to convince their attackers to advance one at a time, and/or supposed to convince their attackers to wait while they reload after missing?

Not hating at all. Just stating facts. I don't see anyone spitting in their faces. Not sure how your reading that into all these posts. The gun community has always been the most vocal supporters of law enforcement. I don't see any bashing here but I do see a lot of concern going forward.

I happen to have a great respect for him and I never see HIM attacking or trash talking LEOs because they have a job to do. :cool:

I am not one who will "knowingly vote for someone who can not possibly defeat those who would do worse to us".

Damage control is a MUST... EVEN when it is not what one wants to do or see done. Every battle is not a war... We must pick and choose those which we can win... EVEN when we use the enemy to do so.
