As a long time IT professional, there was no way I’d send PII in a picture via email. No telling where it would be stored or how it would be secured....

Sold ammo today to several folks, all who were clearly over 21 and none who paid shipping. For those of you who are concerned over sending your info, pls let me know how I can help. See l8nk for availability and pricing.

Serving central/western MD (western HoCo, Southern/Western Carroll, Northern Montgomery, Frederick, Washington and points west...

That’s why I require a 6 pack with every purchase, it means you already had to show ID ;)

Sorry, dusting off this thread ...

Making a 45-70 purchase from ammunitiontogo.com earlier today. After checkout and usual confirmation emails, received the same email request for proof like mentioned above.

Was hesitant to send anything, but opted to upload an image of my Utah CC instead of MD DL, etc. UTAH is state-issued and has everything on it they say they need to verify that I am in fact an old dude living in MD.

About 5 minutes after updating my profile (uploaded .jpeg directly to the https), received another email stating I'm gtg until the ID expires.

I know ID is needed to buy ammo in person but I have never heard of it being required online.

This is news to me. I've never been asked for ID, though supposedly MSP tried to get an ammo log accepted by the gun shops. IIRC, it went away quickly.

Some online vendors require ID for proof of age.

I send a photo of my DL with the DL number redacted.

Open JPG in Paint and color over the DL number. Save.

Necro thread, but as its been asked.

I was buying "bullets" (heads, whatever you want to call them), NOT "loaded ammunition"
I gave valid ID TWICE. Once when ordering IN the Brick & Mortar store.
Once more when it arrived, IN THE BRICK & MORTAR STORE, with the original receipt which stated ID had been provided. After I threw a fit when they couldn't supply & only offered a store credit on a cash purchase.
I don't care IF they have a second out-of state bigger & better store.
I will never shop at Hafer's Gunsmithing ever again.
It was NOT a question of age verification either, I'm 70 & I look it.

Ammo John made me show him ID. He dropped it when handing it back to me. I regret picking it up.

Some police woman made me show her ID. She said she needed to confirm my caliber.

Don't ever agree to play "Hide The Matzo" with him, even with the offer of free ammo.
    I'm still in therapy.

I mean…3% discount. It’s just not worth it for 2 weeks of sitz baths. I spend more than that on ass cream!! Right through the denim, too. Impressive!
