I have been thinking about picking this up to use at the range. Anyone have experience with J&G or the 92s?

Glad you asked. I took a chance and came out good. The pistol was definitely in just good condition, but at this price, I can't complaint. Shipping was a bit high but overall it's well worth it.

I will post range report and pictures soon.

Had a customer pick up two at the shop today. They looked a little rough around the edges, but action was solid.

Son ova bich! MF'ers are gonna make me get an HQL. Damn suckwits!

Cheaper for me to get one of these than a Beretta 1951 on my C&R.

    Fukwits!

    Maryland effin SUCKSAZZ.

Politicians can sit on an 18" barrel.

Just know that a 1951 although collectable, is not going to be a good range toy, they won't last as long and the part that cracks is unobtanium or overpriced.

92S has the mag release lower and not all the Beretta mags are compatible but you can cut out the needed mag release hole. Not as nice of sights as a modern gun but Mine is reliable.

While you do have a point about the cost of spares, I disagree that the '51's not a good range toy (or CCW or home defense sidearm). Between the '92F and '51, excepting sheer firepower and lack of a threaded barrel (still working on that tho'), I'd take the '51 every time (note: I'm talking about the genuine Beretta and not the various sub-contracted copies). It's become my favourite sidearm.

It's 30 bucks dude! Even at that price, that's one hell of a lot of pistol for the price! Even though mine is ugly, it shhots just as well as newer models that cost way more.
