With the local elections coming up and all of the 2A issues biting us in the ass, which politicians are for and against gun ownership (includes both Dems and Repubs)? I have not really been paying much attention to the elected liars so and all info is needed for everyone. Especially with SB281 FIVE weeks away!

I know the county of Frederick is holding elections on September 10th and I'm starting to see the annoying Virginia election crap on tv. Wasn't sure if it was all of MD or just specific counties. Just looking for Pro 2A. I know our ass Clagett voted for 281 and the gas tax.

I too am unaware of any local elections in the next couple weeks. However there are large numbers of us organizing and coming together to defeat as many anti-American, anti-freedom, anti-civil rights, and anti-gun politicians as possible in 2014.
There are several options available, like joining, donating and participating through the pro-gun groups - NRA, MSI, GOA, SAF; or joining the political side - Political Action Committee's or the 'Liberty Tree' movement. These are Maryland specific, all volunteer groups of individuals, many of whom lobbied against SB281 which is about to become law in exactly 1 month from today! Most of these people (myself included) vowed to do everything legally in our power to work against politicians that supported this ill conceived bill. We are organized by the electoral districts in Maryland, Liberty Tree 44 or Liberty Tree 32, etc.
You will see in this forum and else where the tag line 2014, or Liberty Tree, etc. they all are making reference to this imperative.
Come join us.

FPL53 - you've got it! So many people don't know that the same people that want to take your guns also want to tell you what you can eat or tax you to death. That socialist mindset is what is wrong with this country. They are teaching people dependancy, entire generations now (mostly inner city people) have grown up expecting free or subsidized housing and food and are being told THEY are victims and it's ok to do nothing. This has been described as a modern form of slavery.
A lot of people don't understand or care about the link between firearms and freedom and liberty. Most don't know the racist history of 'gun-control' (read : people control) and civil rights. Most have no idea that Martin Luther King himself applied for a handgun permit and was denied! But many people do see rising gas prices, and most politicians who voted for SB281 also voted for the gas hike. There is an excellent thread in this forum showing the correlations.

One more quick point before I get off my soap box. Register as a democrat. This way you can vote in the democrat primaries, and undermine a lot of these politicians. Even if the alternative democrat candidate is also an anti, it will send the right message and they will know we were serious.
America is waking up. Maryland will increasingly become aware of what is going on as the inevitable economic decline becomes more apparent. Hopefully the decades of wasting our tax money, tolerating illegal immigration, poisoning of our children's minds through poor education and social manipulation can be overcome fast enough that we can turn this state, and this country around. We are headed in exactly the wrong direction.

Clagget is running for mayor, which means he'll probably take a stab at governor in 6 or so years. This also means some of our "local's" will be hinting at the governor primaries next year. Too many people ignore their local elections for which the political idiots use that as their stepping stone to the state house or governor. Clagett might have the funding but he'll never win. If he didn't vote for the gas tax he might have had a chance.

I tend to look at fiscal issues in a larger scope (why was the gas tax not only raised but in this case also changed?)
Look at the critters that voted for MOM's budget. Those are the ones that have created this mess, where there becomes 'a need' (for the lack of a better word) to raise taxes, and tax the rain and snow.
It's not just a democrat issue either, my soon to be rep. Costa voted for his budget.

Went through Annapolis yesterday, saw signs for a Mayoral canidate, so I guess they are having an election there soon as well. Don't really know any thing else about it.
