My first was a Daisy CO2 bb repeater that looked like an old Lugar. I got it when I was 13. The barrel was so bent to the left it wasn't even funny. Even so, I got pretty good with Kentucky windage that way.

Thanks. I love it. I was able to get to Cabela's today and got a 32 round magazine for it. :D so now I fill both "blocked" 10 round mags and the one new one up to 30 rounds and there's a quick box of ammo downrange ...lol

Nice, I have an xdm. I didn't even know they made 32 rounders for it.

For me, the first I ever fired was a Smith & Wesson snub-nose that my grandfather bought for my grandmother during WWII when he served (Navy, retired as a Commander). He bought it for her to carry with her for protection. As far as I know, she carried it in her purse everyday. I don't remember too much about it except that it is chambered in .38 S&W, not .38 Special. My dad still has it and it still works perfectly as of last summer.

    ETA: it's a Smith & Wesson Terrier

My first handgun was a Browning Buckmark, bought it back in the late 80's after my uncle let me shoot his. I still have it in the safe.

For my 21st birthday I bought one of these, Ruger 44 magnum Super Blackhawk, I soon found out why they went to the transfer bar system. While unloading the cylinder the hammer fell on a live round. Fortunately the muzzle was pointed down (as should be) and the round went into the dirt. I have tinnitus in my right ear and powder imbedded in my left hand. I had that gun for 30 years when a neighbor loved it more than I did and I sold it to him.
