Thanks, pard! That is a 9mm Bul Armory Commander. Solid piece for the price! Nice and tight fitment, terrific price. Been a great gun!

Ok, I'm intrigued! That's a heck of a pistola for no more than they cost - if I had a complaint, it would be that I'd want tritium sights, although that has two drawbacks - one, they have a shelf life where they'll eventually dim, and they'd bump the price of the pistol.

How does yours do with different ammo types? I know that some can be finicky, but my Dan Wesson's will eat pretty much anything.

My SAS IIs aren't picky. BUL uses Wilson/Nowlin ramps, so there's no reason JHPs shouldn't feed fine.

BUL is probably the best budget 1911 maker out there now, and their upper tier guns are also considered quite good. I've messed with budget 1911s before (RIA, Girsan, etc.), and the BULs don't require you to rip half the guts out to make them good reliable shooters. I got my Girsan and RIA to do what I wanted, but it was a rough ride...

    115 ball - 300 no problem
124 ball - 1800 no problem that wasn’t my problem. Touch slide slowing the action (damn Glock habit had to break of the 1911)
    124JHP - 150 no problem.

Mine, at least, seems to work just fine. Haven’t shot any 147 admittedly.

Purchased a new Dan Wesson Kodiak last week. Shot it for the first time today. My first 10 mm. Love it.
