Not a fan of wooden grips. I have them on my 1911 and they look great but the feel just doesn't feel good. I am willing to try the aluminum just cuz I have never had them. Seems an alum grip with either checkering or a pattern ( other than skulls and crossbones) could work. I like a heavy gun.

    My favorite handguns.
The electroless nickel one at the top left is my favorite 75B in 9mm, the one just below is 40 S&W for which I fitted a Kadet conversion. The 75B Standard IPSC in 40 S&W is the most accurate handgun that I have.
I am on the lookout for the newer polymer frame ones and a couple of the clones- notably a Baby Eagle and an SAR B6P.

Let me know what your barrel and breechface look like.

? I don't get it ? What were you expecting?

I got my 75B back from CGW with a defensive carry package, new hammer and trigger. The said their backlog was 5 weeks and it came home at 5 weeks and 1 day. Heavily oiled and lubed, much heavier than I would have thought to lube a pistol. (it is SS)

I didn't look at my breech face, but I don't think mine was fired.

CZ Custom also gets good press for custom work. Their backlog was 8 weeks and when I called they were at a National competition. CGW was very non-pushy on their various options and I liked dealing with them.

I just put the thick aluminum CZ Custom grips and I love them! Slimmed the grip a little and gave it a far better feel in my hand.

Wish I had put them on sooner...

I was expecting a trigger job; that's what I got. However, the barrel coating/wear looked really odd. I reached out to a guy on BrianEnos.com and his looks exactly the same, so it looks like CZ is now shipping these with black coated barrels that look rather worn. It's not a big deal; it doesn't impact function - however, they used to ship the barrels uncoated so I just thought it was odd.

I got the super slims and they're pretty freaking awesome. I like full-bodied grips generally, but the standard thickness/profile grips for the CZ75 are a bit uncomfortable for me. Side benefit is that the regular mag release behaves as an extended mag release and I do NOT have to change my grip at all to drop mags.
