Planning to give one of these a try for bowling pin matches this year. 9mm is great for steel but just doesn't have enough power to consistently knock a pin completely off the table...so it's back to .45 ACP, I guess.

This replaces a Sig TTT I gifted to my son a few years ago but never got around to replacing. Has the same feel and great trigger. On a good day, I could shoot sub-5 second relays with it. Hope this one will perform similarly. Go get one from Dan @ BBP while they last! He's got a pretty killer price on them.

Very attractive 1911, and killer deal after learning the price that you got. Need to see my CPA this week to see what the damage is/isn't before doing anything but look for now. :) I can't tell for certain from the pics, but think that the grips are a dark rosewood. Or is this completely off?

Yeah, dark rosewood. They're almost black.

My Costa Comp doesn’t look like that. That’s some intricate engraving. Interesting slogan, Dia De Tu Muerte - Day of your Death? There’s a story in there somewhere...... very cool pistola.

Day of the dead. It's a popular theme right now. Colt has been doing one and Guncrafter did a limited run. Both were done in 38 super.

I still have one of the Colt in inventory, I think. We had one Guncrafter it was sold in about 10 minutes.

Got this 1925 Colt Government 1911 from Atlantic Guns. It has been re-blued, but everything appears "correct" with the added bonus of having matching frame and slide serial numbers. Whoever did the re-blue was an artist. Someone made an attempt to make it look like the day it left the factory.
