Picked up my P320 Full Size 9MM yesterday. My lowly 10 round magazines gained a few friends in the form of five 21 round magazines from Cabela's.

Picked this up recently...Sig P220 Elite .45 ACP. Absolutely as new. The original owner sold it the local gun store after it had one magazine run through it...he was in a wheel chair and sold them a number of handguns. One or two others I saw I would have purchased as well but were already spoken for...all NIB or nearly so. I really would have liked the S&W Model 39 (no dash)...absolutely beautiful. It shows what manufacturers were capable of in finishing and polishing...not often seen today due to expense.

My one and only Sig right now and one I’ll never sell. P239 in .357SIG. It was my registered off-duty carry gun when I was with the Secret Service (what seems like a really long time ago), bought it with my first paycheck there during training. Options for agency approved off-duty Sigs was limited, at least back then, so this was one of the smaller/lighter options available. I still love taking it to the range, extremely natural point of aim for me and to date have never had a malfunction of any kind. Still carry it from time to time and still have the stack of range qual cards.

I don't remember if I had posted my P-228. It's my carry gun and has been with me since 1996. About every 8K rounds it goes back to Sig for service. The gun has never let me down. Chris

Ooh, I didn't realize that the E2 grips would fit on a P228. Are those P229 grips? Also, what barrel is that?

The E2 grips (which fits P228 as well as P229, it's the hammer springs that are different) I installed plus grip tape as well as the new Xray sights (8/8). That barrel is no longer on the gun but it was a threaded German barrel, it now has it's stock barrel recrowned by Sig on one of it's trips back (much better groups). I found that the E2 grips made my P220/226/228/229 all much easier for me to operate plus I have changed all the magazines releases to right side so my index finger can drop magazines. I have a bad thumb this just makes it quicker less pain. Chris

I believe the ergo grip kit has all the necessary parts. Hammer strut, cup, spring, new decocking lever and grip.

True, Top Gun Supply had a kit for P228 awhile back now only P229. I'm not sure if they are interchangeable since I had ordered them separately and installed. Chris

Oh yeah, I love the E2 grips, and I know about the spring and strut changes. For some stupid reason I'd just never thought of putting 229 grips on a 228. Derp.

I have a "classic" two tone P228 that's one of my favorite pistols of all time. It's worn the classic "P228" logo grips, some Hogues, and maybe others. I think an E2 would be just the thing to get me interested in shooting it again.

The old grips suit my hands perfectly; E2 grips just feel like a sales gimmick in my hands. Proves nothing other than everyone is different.

Today I crossed off another gun on my To Own list. Picked up a 1994 West German P228 from United. Great condition except the barrel hood, minimal wear elsewhere. All serials match. Need to clean and lubricate it, hoping to get to the range tomorrow to try it out. Also going to install a new set of grips just because the old ones seem to have some discoloration by the decocker.
