I'm installing a DPMS style float tube ( the one in which the perimeter of the barrel nut is threaded and with a lock ring that is tightened up to the float tube after the float tube is threaded on to the barrel nut). I read somewhere that DPMS applies thread locker to the threads beneath the lock ring and the float tube. Does anyone know if this is the case and if so which thread locker would be recommended? I have a spanner wrench to tighten the lock ring to the float tube.
