    Hello MDShooters,

    I'm brand new to shooting. I purchased a shotgun for home defense (I live in Baltimore) and I've taken 2 courses on home defense shotgun. I'm signed up for a 3rd course in November in Culpepper, VA.

    I have the Range Etiquette and Staying Safe thread bookmarked and review it often. I've learned a ton from lurking the last few months and I look forward to learning even more in future.

    Welcome and good to have you. The best home defense weapon is often the one that you are proficient with so I applaud you for taking things seriously and jumping into some courses right away. See you around.

    Welcome, I use a Tac-14 as one of my HD tools as well. It’s one of the regulars I take to the range with me.

    I just purchased my 18.5 inch barrel for my shotgun today. I am considering the class in Sept in Culpeper, where was the previous 2 classes you took?

    Since J Justin Ta Guns brought it up, I' give a PSA for our newer members :

    The New Thread Icon that Ammo Jon mentioned doesn't show up if you are using a search function such as " New Posts" to view threads .

    Instead , go a level up to click on the relevant subforum , such as Introductions, Maryland 2A , Gunsmithing, etc .
    Then the New Thread Icon will appear above the listing of the threads for that subforum .

    Appreciate it, I have some great deals on buckshot but it’s not a big enough seller that I was going to bring any to the show unless someone specifically asked for it.
