When, and whoever the shoe fits. Thanks for the WARNING.

I will never shut my mouth. That has been the problem for far too long.

You either stand up, or stand down. We all make our choices.

Fella, I don't know you from Adam, but I know this; you are dead right, and I'll stand up with you anytime. I have a crick in my neck from turning the other cheek so many times, and it's BS to keep on doing it. Call it what it is...

How ironic that the original poster tags all his messages with "You do your thing. I'm doing mine. Life goes on."

Referencing all the convo over here, rather than further cluttering the quake thread...

I was talking about around GBP. The pool party got a little out of hand.

Ah... Was wondering what all the hubbub was!!

They rolled right past the house, and a helo was apparently involved...

Beyond that, we hadn't heard a thing about it.

Shooting st the pool. One dead maybe two more shot.

    Holy crap.

    I'm working today, too...

Good thing the missus locks up the house and has no plans.

    Thanks for the recon!

Why do I have a feeling that apartment dwellers are involved...........

Around 11:25 last night, sirens going past the house. Got up to see. At least six more came flying past, running silent. Traffic blocked from going up Baylor Rd. Later, maybe 10, 15 minutes, helicopter circling around and around. Flying really low. Decided back to bed best option. Copter must have been up for over an hour. Didn't feel the need to wake anyone as he had to be up early and there is always time to go for our little friends. House secure, always locked.

So sad that is happened at the swim club. It's been there forever. Not a thing on any news web site or on air. Will keep looking.

The Missus looked all day for info, but nothing.

Anne Arundel County police responded at about 6:45 p.m. July 31 to a gas station on Crain Highway near Virginia Avenue, according to a news release.

The male victim said he was approached by three teenage boys who asked him for a dollar.

When he said he didn't have a dollar, the teens threatened to break his jaw, said police.

He refused again. They then started to assault him, before fleeing the scene.

    The victim suffered minor injuries.

That's closer to 'downtown', but known to be a lesser area that I even avoided as a kid.
OK, I know it was a long time ago.....but as someone who got on a school bus at the corner of Virginia Ave. and Crain Highway for five years, when did they put a gas station "near" that intersection? The closest station on Crain Highway is at 8th avenue and there is one at Ritchie and 6th, but neither would meet my definition of "near".

Mr.H......we lived on Glen Oak lane, behind the old Lee Oldsmobile, so that was my "hood" back in the day!!

I knew someone was over there, just couldn't remember who. ;) I grew up on Glenview, near Lincoln.

As for gas stations, there is also the BP at B&A and 8th, but I can't imagine that was in their thinking.

Knew that area too, there used to be a store on Stewart Ave. near Lincoln we used to frequent after school, I had a couple of buddies in that area.
