It's ALSO why the most toxic stuff that Chuck and Nancy want to do doesn't get done: because Mitch shoots them down. Yes, us not getting what we want is a type of loss. But so is them not getting what they want when they mix stuff in to other bills. It's a stand-off on most such things.

The thing is the left does get what they want. If they can't get it fully on the first try, they will break it up into smaller pieces so the GOP can say they opposed it. But then it still passes or they use the unelected judges to do the work so everyone up for an election has "clean" hands.

Actually, it's because they don't run the House, and don't have a viable majority in the Senate. You do actually know this, right?

Yeah but for the most part the GOP actually agree a lot more with the dems than they do with us. So they are never going to repeal any laws without some serious house cleaning of the current crop of GOP in Washington. So it wouldn't matter how many seats they do or do not have.

Which is why - whether you like everything he does or not - keeping the Senate and keeping Mitch running it is absolutely vital, alongside Trump as POTOS. Because they've seated HUNDREDS of new conservative/constitutionalist judges in the last three years. Hundreds of them, that otherwise would be named by Hillary Freakin' Clinton, or whoever comes down the pike (Not Joe Biden, but whoever actually makes up the administration for the long haul if he stumbles across the finish line and is promptly sent out to pasture by his party).

Whether or not every one of those judges is perfect, we've already seen signs of life from places on the federal judiciary that used to be a lefty wasteland. Trump's appointees notably lean towards the constitution and liberty in most all cases they touch, and we desperately need another four years of him naming judges ... to say nothing of SCOTUS justices.

And the Dems don't have the Senate, or when they do, they have a small majority, yet they get what they want. You do actually know this, right? Sorry, the Republicans are not fighters, they have no idea how to, and they have no idea how to seize victory. They treat us like the Democrats treat the minority voters, they come around every 2 years and pander to us, saying how Pelosi and Chuck are going to take our gun rights away, but then what do the Republicans do to push them back? They don't, they "stand and fight" whatever the heck that means? I am a conservative, not a Republican. They either advance our cause or get out of the way.

I agree 100%. As much as I don't like they way the Republicans handle things, we must keep the Senate in GOP hands so when RGB passes, we will be able to replace her with a conservative justice and hopefully tip the SCOTUS conservative away from the disaster that is CJ Roberts.

Actually, they bitch non-stop with and without the majority (when they have less than 60 seats) because we - just like them - filibuster into oblivion anything we think needs to die. Chuck Schumer has spent years doing it with a smile, and then wailing and screaming when it gets done to him and shuts down dozens - hundreds - of his desired pieces of legislation. That's what happens when you don't have a strong majority. Goes both ways, and the Dems lose what they want just as much as we do.

And regardless of their general inclinations to fight , Con Carry won't be it . Too. many Politicians ( and general public ) that are/ were solidly pro-gun every other step of the way think that permissive Shall Issue is the sweet spot .

Reciprocity could have a chance . Slightly lower odds for HPA , but not inconceivable . But Con Carry and straight up Hughes repeal will need further positive cultural shift before it's their time .

Because they simply say they'll filibuster it into non-existence, and that kills it right there. No point bothering. And because the media carries water for them and the majority of the people in the country are 2A-hostile or extremely mal-informed, even the threat of lumping a 2A thing into a bill that would be poison for them to normally block (say, Veterans care or such), all they have to say is: "The Republicans deliberately poisoned this reasonable legislation with extremist NRA terror provisions so of course we can't support it..." and that's all that most people will ever hear on the the 95%-left-leaning media.

And of course don't forget: even if GOP senators DID manage to get something through the Senate that includes something 2A-ish that we like, a comparable bill has to also make it through the house, which is owned by Pelosi. See the problem?

That will never happen because the Republicans are wimps and too much want to play defense, thus lose. The House passed National Reciprocity in October 2017, and it went to the Senate, then the Las Vegas shooting happened (and I think the National Recoprocity was the catalist for that shooting) and Mitch the B*tch wouldn't bringing it up for a vote bc once again Republicans are wimps. Seeing this weakness the Dems will now attack our gun right unrelenting.

Not to mention we already have this in the Constitution, its called the 2nd Amendment. The way things are going, carry any way you want, ANTIFA and BLM seem to be able to. If you get stopped just show your Antifa badge...LOL!

Oh right, I forgot the new W&C permit is a “mostly peaceful protest”
