    The Maryland Forest Service has closed all public shooting ranges at Elk Neck State Forest as of today, March 19, 2020 at 4:00 PM. This closure has been implemented with public safety in mind amidst the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak and to ensure compliance with the Governor's Executive Order prohibiting gatherings over 10 persons and practicing safe social distancing .

    Please check the Elk Neck State Forest or DNR websites for updates as staff availability during this closure will be limited.
