    Aggressive CPM-S35VN Tanto

Designed by knifemaker Matt Cucchiara, the Shadow Tanto features a 3.5-inch blade made from CPM-S35VN stainless steel, which is known for its toughness and resistance to corrosion. The blade’s aggressive tanto shape makes quick work of piercing tasks, and it’s fine tip can be used for detail work. To deploy it, press one of the dual thumb studs. The handle comprises two thick slabs of gray 6AL4V titanium and a matching backspacer. It pairs well with the stonewashed blade for a uniform aesthetic. Angular in shape, the handle facilitates a forward grip to further enhance the knife’s penetrating power. Clip it to your pocket with the right-handed tip-up pocket clip.

Some people call it a Kizer blade, I call it a Sling blade. Uh huh.

Seriously though. Nice deal if you are partial to tanto blades.

S35VN is excellent blade steel, no?
S35VN is a good strong steel. I believe it's popular with Hinderer knives and they are tough as nails.

To the knife itself. I'm not a fan of tanto blades. I prefer drop point and wharncliffe

I was able to get in on this drop, got the knife about a couple weeks ago, have been trying to carry it as much as possible.

First impressions, it's a awesome knife, the blade steel is, well, it's a super steel, and the handles are titanium, so it's amazingly strong and light. The blade shape is wicked cool and functional, the lockup is perfect as far as I can tell. Love the ergonomics and overall shape.
What I'm not so thrilled about it that the retention is very strong, so its very difficult to open with one hand, I think that will loosen a bit over time, but your not flipping this thing open. Would have preferred tip down carry, but that is a minor issue.
