Sweet to see the 1911 coming along. I already ordered my AR-15 online but when the 1911 and AR-10 come out I will be interested in getting them from you. Nice to pay someone in cash for this stuff and have no paper trail.

Although I might have to wait a while as all the gun buying is leaving my funds quite dry as of late.

    PAYPAL is available as well!

Sounds good but the whole point of this for me is that there is no record of me having it. I am still kicking myself for buying my first one online. Had I known that people would have been selling these in the meat world I would have waited and just exchanged it for cash.

So far its holding up for your average .223/5.56

Torture Testing is still going through process

I think im interested. But i would like to know if basically it can only work for .223 or i could do something more interesting. Obviously nothing huge. I wont hold anyone to their opinions but what other calibers would you assume it could hold up to?

I am not too computer literate. :sad20:

I found the invoice but I can't type it and it doesn't have a address to mail it to. Am I missing something? Also, I do not use facebook, twitter etc. if that matters.

    Thanks for the help,

    John

I guess the 1911 80% will never make the deadline now.

Does not matter for the 1911 80%. The 80% does not need to be transferred by an FFL and it can come right to your door. You can complete it any time you want after October 1, 2013 and still do not need a HQL. Heck, you can have the 80% 1911 shipped to you after October 1, 2013 too without needing a HQL and then complete it at your leisure.

The 80% AR-15 lowers need to be completed on or before October 1, 2013.

Do we know that for a fact? I don't recall the AG saying anything about 80% lowers. They just said we can't purchase lowers after Oct 1.

It is pretty simple really. An 80% lower is not considered a firearm until it is completed. The only thing you are allowed to possess after October 1, 2013 are assault weapons that you possessed on October 1, 2013. So, for the 80% lower to meet the definition of assault weapon, you need to complete it by October 1, 2013 to continue to possess it after October 1, 2013.

How they will prove when you finished the 80% lower, I have no idea. I'm sure somebody will eventually screw up though and get in trouble for possessing an 80% lower that was completed after October 1, 2013.

You cant complete a gun prior to Oct 1 if the lower was not in production. This product is not in production yet and would be easy to show you manufactured it post Oct 1. Any current exsisting 80% in production you would have no issue.

80% 's are the way I chose to go to deal with this debacle, so I researched it quite a bit. Strictly legally speaking, the 80% needs to magically become "a firearm" prior to October 1. Otherwise, one risks getting stuck in the quagmire of "assembling into a banned configuration" after October 1. Yeah, the odds of getting caught are low, etc, etc. but I am personally choosing to take this part (assembly prior to Oct 1) very seriously.

Now what does "assembly" mean? Search this forum and you'll find several different definitions. Federally, if the 80% becomes a 100% stripped lower, it is "assembled." It, itself, is THE FIREARM and is federally regulated as such. I am taking mine a step further to make sure there's no way to get stuck in SB 281's gray area of "assembled vs. partially assembled." But that's just my personal take, and not to be confused with some kind of legal analysis.

Again, you could choose the route of "how could they ever know?" but I'm too much of a nervous nelly for that, myself.
