House afire this morning, had rounds stored inside & they started cooking. You can hear them popping. Didn't find out what caliber, nor what guns he had.

good to hearThe only time it is dangerous is if you leave the round in the chamber. There are a number of fire tests (search SAAMI fire test) that indicate that fire fighter turnout gear is enough to stop the shrapnel from exploding rounds.
Now wait a minute. Wasn't there a thread about a fire and police department responding to a report of 24 rounds of ammo being found in a crawl space in Texas? Didn't they clear the entire block because it was so dangerous. This guy SAAMI must not know what he's talking about. BTW, that's a strange way to spell his name.
