Just won an auction for a supposedly unfired 1894P in .44 cant wait to get it, all I need now is the Marlin in .38/.357 and a good early .30-.30 and the lever collection is complete.

Since I recently acquired yet another lever this is definitely Boss Hog a in it's kick ass cambering! (shameless plug) ;) Look at the ballistics of the .284 Win, you might say it was truly the FIRST short magnum.

They're way overlooked. Truth is they may be the best lever action ever made when it comes to quality and strength.

A nice Savage lever gun is always on my "target of opportunity" list, I just never find them at good prices.

My pistol calibers, Rossi/Taurus in .38/.357 but it may go very precise (though shoots way high) but chews brass up I am going to go over the chamber and see. Hate to get rid of it. The other is my Winchester .45LC trapper havent had a chance to get it out to the range yet.

Below is a photo of the 1895GS I picke up off a fellow forum member. Cleaned and lubed it, ready to go to the range.

Lever guns are about the only thing I will buy right now, looking for that Mint pre-safety Marlin or Pre-64 Winnie and .30-30 at a steal of a price. A Winnie Trapper or Marlin in .357 As common as they are I will find one someday. That and an 1894P (and only a P will do) and I am set.

My Marlins, note the 1894P I recently acquired (looks fired only a couple times, it will be fired MANY more times) witht he 1895 previously posted.

My sister found this classic rifle in a trash can at an old house in Brandywine, MD. She was helping them fix the place up when someone found this under the house wrapped in an old dirty rotten blanket and threw it out. It took me about 10 hours to carefully remove the thick chunks of rust and fabric covering the entire gun. It's amazing the wood survived and the only thing missing is the receiver cover. I bet it was under that house for over 100 years and while it will never work again, it's still cool to have and it certainly isn't trash.
