Isn’t about time that MARYLAND joins VIRGINIA in the SECOND AMENDMENT SANCTUARY MOVEMENT?

MARYLAND SHOOTERS has over 26,000 members who can spark this movement in Maryland statewide, beginning today.

VIRGINIA CITIZENS DEFENSE LEAGUE has provided the successful template: a model sanctuary resolution for towns, cities and counties to adopt, plus the results in Virginia to prove a statewide movement can manifest very rapidly with active local promotion and support.

I make a motion that the subject of supporting the 2A Sanctuary County process in Maryland be discussed as “New Business” at today’s MSI meeting.

If you haven’t yet considered joining MSI and attending their meeting today, how about joining and attending?

You can join MSI at today’s quarterly meeting, which, AS LUCK WOULD HAVE IT is taking place at the meeting hall on the grounds of the ASSOCIATED GUN CLUBS of BALTIMORE gun range.

Come on, you know you want to! MSI is a party to active lawsuits to restore your First AND Second Amendment Rights.

I would like to think that Garrett, Allegany, and maybe Washington counties would be 2A sanctuary counties, but ya never know. I wish Western Maryland would secede but the citizenry seems too cowardly and dependent on state jobs and benefits.

Carroll and Harford declared themselves 2A sanctuaries back in 13, but I assume they've forgotten about it by now. It never did include a determination to not cooperate with Federal agencies.

I wouldn't count on it actually meaning anything.

Garrett County cannot declare because of the type of gov structure they are currently setup as. They require the state to approve all transactions. I’ve already had this discussion with the county’s commissioners. They tried to change their structure back in the 90’s but it was shot down. I told them we need to try again (who do the citizens trust more, the state gov or the local gov?)

There are 3 types of county gov types in MD. Garrett and a few others are this type. Most counties have the ability to thumb their nose at the state if they choose. Unfortunately we do not.

Not really. Emphasis was on court issues to effect change.

MD GA opens for business in January; all are encouraged to call, write, and visit senators and delegates, and support MSI at the statehouse as well.

As MSI members, we are now an official AGC "Club" and our membership makes us eligible for AGC range badges, with no out-of-pocket except the AGC range badge.
