I am debating on making another purchase.

    M&P 2.0 Shield 9mm
    Glock 19 9mm
    Glock 41 45ACP
    HK HK45 45ACP

Some other 762x39 300Blackout uppers for a lower on a shelf.

Wife may need a carry which would be the M&P. If other members wives carry what do they prefer?

    I don't necessary "need" anything ...

Get Shield EZ. If I didn't have my HK45C, I'd probably go the Glock 41.
The HK is a beast and would be my end of the world pistol I think.

Whoever says G19, go choke yourself right now.
Also, whoever says G19, I guarantee they will follow it up with the standard 3 sentences about reliability, popular accessories, and use in police agencies. Blah blah blah.

    Get Shield EZ.

I agree with this, especially if your wife doesnt shoot often. The EZ is very easy to handle. My sister got one, and I cant tell you how easy it is compared to the Shield 2.0. I like my 2.0, but the EZ is like butter.

If the need is for the wife's carry pistol - the Shield wins. If for fun, the HK45 wins. Just like Blasty noted - G19 works and we all own one but that's like an old Ford truck.. Nothing sexy but it works.

The HK is the best piece you list for sure. So I'd start there. I will throw in the generic "the Glock 19 is a good basic all around pistol" statement but it doesn't compare to the HK. That's a bit like comparing a Honda Civic to a Mercedes.

G19, hands down. For the reasons mentioned above.

In all seriousness though... if you plan to purchase standard capacity mags out of state, I would factor that into the cost and decision here.

HK mags definitely come at a premium whereas glock mags are dirt cheap and everywhere.

Glock is the fleet spec Ford Taurus of the gun world . Take that as a boost or a slam at your personal discretion .

Why do mags become an issue for someone who doesn't "need" any pistol?
Why get vanilla when you can get chocolate mint chip or a different flavor?
He already said an hk45 it's an option. He doesn't need to go Glock and worry about mags.

Handle them all and get what you like. If one doesn’t stand out, keep looking.
My wife likes the Glock 43.

If you asked 100 shooters, you'll get 50% saying Glock, the others will blather on about their favorite pistol. Why not both of you go to a range that rents guns. Test them out. Get the one that you shoot best. Easy.
