A few of these from several years back indicated that cluelessness and vanity likely did play a role in the victimization of these young women.

I certainly have. Male and female alike over the past 35+ years.

Not only in the world at large, but in my own friends/family circle.

What gets me, are the ones whose bubble is so thick and tight, that they can't be talked to about anything that is a real issue in the cold, hard 'outside'.
